so yeah. figured I’d update everyone on what I’ve been up to since it’s been a while. last week or so I decided I feel like moving to seattle for a little bit, test the waters up there. I already had to be in vegas this week, so I figured what better time to go? packed up may car, drove down to vegas. Staying in a suite at caesar’s palace, it’s good times. Not really doing anything right now because the conference that im working at doesnt start till the 3rd, im just down here visiting friends and such. Didnt have any plans for tonight, so I decided I’d hit up some entertainment in town. Reba McEntire was in town, so I decided I’d hit that up. I spent a chunk of my childhood growing up in utah and virginia, so I definately grew up with quite a bit of country and was a big fan of hers. I had 3rd row tickets right next to the stage, which kicked ass! There were 2 songs I was hoping I’d see her perform, ‘the night the lights went out in georgia’ and ‘fancy’ and she did them both, it was damned cool! haha. Excellent show, seriously, I loved it. and wouldnt ya know, she still looks GREAT for however old she is now. Performs like shes in her twenties, full of energy, bright smile, it just simply kicked ass. anyway.. after the conference im working is over, im going to los angeles to visit my dad and my little sister, who i havent seen in 3 years, poor girl. she’s like 7 or something now, I feel bad she’s growing up without her big brother around. be there about a week, then head to northern cali for a day or 2, then up to seattle, to maybe live there for a little while see how things go. It better live up to the rumors with the rain and all, I loooove rain. Nothing quite beats the smell of warm rain while standin on your front porch. It oughta be interesting, I figure I can do what im good at and what I love both (computers and music, respectively) and see how things go, it’s gonna be an interesting adventure, and has definately been better than I could have imagined so far, Today was amazing, and tonight was even better, someone I met totally made my week, hell maybe my month. haha. anyway, im gonna go finish playing some guitar and finishing this bottle of iced tea, so im outta here!
ha the title of this blog post makes me blush a little when I say it, but I wont explain why..haha. Last week I went on a spur of the moment out of nowhere last minute spontaneous trip to sunny florida! It was kinda crazy, and very pricey, but very worth it. It was a great vacation that I definately needed. It was definately quite the trip, about 2500+ miles at that. Heading out, I had a stopover in Texas for a few hours. It was fun, texas, as I’ve always known, had some really cute girls. and the accents.. oh god I was in heaven. Hot texas girls with hot texas accents…yeah it was sexy. haha. I went to McDonalds while in texas, and they had a local specialty called the “texas homestyle burger” on the menu. I decided to give it a try, it was pretty tasty. Then it was off to florida. I landed in palm beach, ad met some friends (Brianne, Kyla, Suzanne, Trista, and Alan) at the airport. We hung out all night, I played guitar for the girls for a little bit, and then we all headed to bed. The next day we were up early, & I cooked french toast for all the girls for breakfast. Let me say, Florida has some insane humidity. I wanted to take a shower every couple hours because it felt like I was constantly sweating and my clothes were always sticking to me. So, hopped in the shower after breakfast, then we all hopped in alan’s van and headed to the ampitheatre in west palm beach, to go see the kickoff of Kelly Clarkson’s Summer Tour. Katie met up with us there with a friend of her’s which was cool, it was good to see her as well. My seat was pretty good, just a few rows back from the stage, pretty good view of kelly. The show was amazing, she even did 4 new songs that all kicked ass, I loved em. After the show that night we all went and hung out some more, and turned in for the night. The next morning we got up for a 3 hour drive up to tampa for the 2nd show of kelly’s tour. It was a fun drive, we we’re all total goofball’s in the van, it was a blast. The 2nd show was fun, Brianne and I sat together with alan up on the lawn of the ampitheatre and watched the show, it was an awesome show as well, save for the gave that kelly left a few songs out the 2nd night. After that we all went to the Hard Rock hotel and casino together, hung out, gambled a little, which everyone was able to do because ya only had to be 18 to gamble, it was a good time. Sunday we all went to the beach and went swimming, I had a lot of fun. Monday we took kyla and trista to the airport, then came back and had Spaghetti and Eggplant Parmesan for dinner, it was delicious! The next day was time to leave, headed to the airport and took off for home. had a layover in atlanta, and im thinking, hmm what could possibly be in georgia…. wait..georgia peaches…lol. Those who know me know about my little peach addiction. haha. So I made sure to soak everything in, brought back some georgia peach syrup, and I’ve been enjoying it, on pancakes, waffles, little in my hair to hold it up, well, minus that last part.
It was an amazing and fun trip, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
and that’s my post-vacation blog. before I go, I’d just like to say, im very depressed about my 22nd birthday coming up on the 21st of this month, so y’all should get me something or do something nice to cheer me up about it. lol.
im out!
