by @ 12:00 pm. Filed under Uncategorized

Well, Im currently on my flight back home from vegas, and the
trip/vacation was a blast. It had some rough parts, but everything was
smoothed out and worked out in the end. I had a lot of goals I wanted to
accomplish while down there, and I feel I succeded in completing most of
them. Some of them were:

[ ] Have An Awesome Birthday, make it very memorable.

[ ] Get A Tattoo or 2.

[ ] Go see the Pussycat Dolls perform live.

[ ] Ride the Las Vegas Monorail for the first time.

[ ] Get into and checkout Club Pure.

[ ] Meet and bump into a girl I met from last year.

[ ] Get some fast food from In-N-Out.

[ ] Check out / use the pools at caesars palace.

[ ] Eat at mr. lucky’s.

[ ] Have some drinking adventures.

[ ] Gamble a little.

[ ] and many others….

So anyway…

The first day there was a little bit of work to do, but not too much.
We did that, and then everyone went and crashed in their rooms.
After we all had had a little sleep, Jeff, our boss, took us all out
to eat at this italian restaurant in the caesars forum shops. It was
very tasty. Later that night in celebration of my upcoming birthday,
a few of us ran to a convenience store and bought some beer and
such to prepare. Coming back we stopped by a friends room and had a
few drinks and such. During this, another friend who was staying in
my room called us, and said that Caesars Palace, (The hotel we were
staying at), had left a ‘gift’ in my room. I was a little shocked,
but we went back and checked it out anyway. When we got in the room
there was a Caesar’s Palace Canvas Bag and a birthday card sitting
inside the door. The card was a “happy birthday, thanks for spending
it at caesars” card, and Inside the main compartment of the bag were
2 small bottles of wine. I unzipped the second compartment, which
revealed a knife and cutting board (for cheeses and such), a
corkscrew, 2 nice wine glasses, and some other stuff I dont recall.
It was pretty freaking cool. We had a few drinks and then everyone
headed off to bed, except me, as I awaited midnight. When it struck,
I promptly headed downstairs to the casino, where I quickly preceded
to lose $20. Being a bit bummed out, I went upstairs and headed to
bed.

Wee, happy birthday to me! I sure didnt feel any different. hehe.
We were told today was kind of a play day, because there wasnt much
for us to do today, so I wasnt in any rush to go anywhere. Upon
talking to a few others I was told the lot of my friends were down
at the pools. I decided to give them a call to make sure, and sure
enough none of them even seemed to be awake. most were chilling out
in their rooms, being bored or complaining of the heat. Not my idea
of an exciting time. So, I decided to head down stairs to see if
there was anything going on I could check out or assist with. Turns
out Neil and Nate had to do some work that day instead of toy around.
hardly seemed fair. I felt bad, and a little bored and immediately
began poking around to see if there was anything I could help with.
I ended up meeting KS while I was down there, so that was cool.
(KS is a guy who works for blackhat, who lives in singapore, whom
I met last year, very cool guy.)Nate and neil ended up taking off
for something on the other side of town they had to work on, but
KS said he could use some help with some stuff, so I stuck around
and helped him out the rest of the afternoon. Right as we were
finishing up, some of the other guys had woken up and wandered down
to the room we were in. Sometime after this, Nate and Neil had
returned to the hotel, and I met nate in his room, where we BS’d
for a while while we were waiting to find out what our dinner plans
and things were, and waiting for his girlfriend amanda and her
roommate thomas to get into town. My mom decided to call and leave
text messages on my phone at this time, with varying things about
‘happy birthday’, and ‘wow, if you’re that old, I must be getting
real old’ and other things to that effect.ha ha. anyway, Amanda
got into town, and nate went to meet her, and I headed back to my
room. Later on we decided we’d hit up a buffet or something, most
of the guys were already headed that direction, I was still at the
hotel, as was nate, so I met him downstairs along with amanda and
thomas, where we proceded to head to the buffet ourselves. Along
the way the others called us and informed us the buffet line was
long and would be closing soon, so we changed our plans and headed
to Paris. The casino/hotel. hehe.We walked around, and ended up
eating at this cool restaurant called ‘Le Cafe’.The food was
pretty good, as well as the wine I had with it. After that, we
walked across the way to this dessert shop that had all kinds of
cool, expensive treats. We bought a couple and took off again,
back to the bar of ‘Le Cafe’, where there was a special on drinks.
We all sat down and had a beer from the tap and conversed with the
bartender a bit. After that we decided to head to the little mall
inside the casino next door, so amanda could check out all the girl
stuff like perfume and make up and such. After that we headed across
the way to the Gap, where I bought a leather belt that was on special,
marked down to $20 from $30. We wandered around a bit more after that,
and then all headed to back to our rooms to bed. Pretty fun little
birthday, I enjoyed it. Although it was far from over…

to be continued…
