Yeah yeah yeah. Been a bit busy lately, have’nt had too much
time to update. Things have been really fast paced lately,
I’ve been running on very little sleep on top of that, and
little food, mainly because I forget to eat. Got the apartment
stuff straightened out, signed our lease and got our keys
tonight, gonna try to get as much as I can moved over tomorrow
and sunday, so I can start sleepin there sunday night. It’ll be
fun, I’m gonna try to get some before/during/after pics going
of the whole process, and then once we’re settled in I think
we’re gonna throw a little housewarming soiree’ of sorts, so
I bet that’ll be a lot of fun. If any of you are Vanessa Carlton
fans, or like piano infused, soulful, rock/pop/indie-ish music,
I suggest you go out and check out her new album “Harmonium”,
it’s an awesome album, It hit shelves about 3 days ago, although
I’ve been listening to it for about a month and a half now,
because I got it for free because I was asked to write a review
of it for a certain popular online music retailer, whose name
I can’t disclose for NDA reasons. But I’ve been loving it, some
of you might recall my praise and reviews of the new single
“white houses” off of it about a month or so ago, it’s a great
song, but there’s a lot of other great material on the album
that definitly makes it worth going out and picking up. I’ve seen
her in concert twice, once in SLC and once in Vegas, and there’s
3 songs of her’s I loved that were not on her “be Not nobody”
album, that she performed, “C’est la vie”, “Papa”, & “Swindler”,
and I was pleased to see “C’est la vie” and “Papa” made it onto
the new album, “Papa” sounds the same, but “Cest la vie” was
redone a little with some new percussion, it was weird to hear,
but it’s growing on me again, if anyone likes the song and wants
to hear the original, a live concert version I have, drop me a
line, and I’ll hook ya up, same with a live version of “papa”
and “swindler”. I’ve also gotta mention a semi-indie band
known as “Something Corporate”, they’ve been getting a bit of
play time in my cd player lately, I’m liking them, and I’d
recommend them. So, go check em out. Only other thing I’ve
done lately that’s worth mentioning is Thursday I went up to
weber state university to co-host the radio show on 88.1 fm,
That’s about all I’ve got for now, might be a little while
before my next update, but I’ll try to update if I get a chance.
